Sweet Home vs. Alabama!

Johnny-Football

The new Kyle Field has been unveiled and College Station is buzzing more than ever! As is customary in College Station this time of year, Aggie fans, Crimson Tide fans and other SEC brethren have booked every hotel room within 50 miles for the entire football season. If you’re ‘lucky’ enough to have a hotel room, you’re probably on the hook for $500+ per weekend. This reality makes the idea of owning a second home or a “weekender” in College Station more appealing than ever before!

Think about the convenience factor for a minute. It’s a game weekend and instead of fighting the insane crowds at hotels and restaurants, you retreat to your own private house or condo for a relaxing night of dinner and football on TV. You can throw steaks on the grill and enjoy a cold one, no RV permit required! It sounds good, because it is good!

As an investment, this makes especially good sense to those who have current sons or daughters who will one day require student housing during their years at A&M.

AFFORDABILITY

My strong opinion is that College Station real estate values are going to continue to rise in the coming years. I have many years of experience in Aggie Football Game Day Housing, as well as College Station real estate in general. Owning an Aggie Football Game Day Home may be more affordable than you think! For example, there are nice options for newer condominiums starting in the $130,000 range. I know this because I have represented both buyers and sellers several times recently with these types of homes. Again, this makes especially good financial sense to those who may have children who will one day require housing during their years at A&M.

Larger Homes and Southside Historical District

There are many options for quality housing located in beautiful neighborhoods throughout College Station and I have represented both buyers and sellers all over Aggieland. There are quiet, tucked away homes, vibrant golf course communities and, of course, the Southside Historic Area, which allows you to walk to Kyle Field. There are many other great options as well. We just need to visit for a few minutes in order to define what makes a College Station home right for you!

Please contact me to ask questions and discuss options or to make an appointment to view some properties.
