I recently found out about a great local event! Some of you may already know this, but since January, Royalty Pecan Farms offers orchard tours every Saturday at 12:30pm. You can ride their tour wagon and they will teach you the process of growing, producing, and distributing their Texas-grown pecans! The tour lasts about 45 minutes and once the tour is over, you are invited to spend the afternoon on their lawn overlooking the orchard. You can crack pecans, visit the gift shop, and bring a lunch for your own picnic on the lawn! Weather permitting, this would be a great way to have a relaxing Saturday afternoon! Caldwell is only about 25 minutes away and the tour costs $3 a person, so what do you have to lose?
