March Real Estate Market Update

Generally, the spring and summer months are the busiest time of the year for residential real estate. According to data provided by our local mls, homes sold in B/CS have consistently peaked during the months of May, June, and July. I found it both interesting and exciting that the number of homes sold each year has been increasing over the past 2 years, and this trend is expected to continue.

Snapshot of March Real Estate Market: March 2012 vs March 2013

  • 187 – individual units sold, 25.5% more units sold than March 2012
  • $191,214 – monthly average price of single sale, 1.3% higher than average in March 2012
  • $33,859,431 – total monthly sales, 27.1% more sales than March 2012
  • 136 – homes sold between $100,000 and $250,000, 26% more sold than in March 2012
  • 29 – Homes sold between $250,000 and $500,000, 45% more sold than in March 2012

All of this growth in our real estate market and also in our town is so exciting. If you talk to any of the agents at TM5, they will tell you that we are feeling this growth in the number of listings and buyers we have had the privilege of working with. As for me, my sales continue to increase and I do not plan on slowing down!
