Those of us that live in Bryan-College Station know what a great city we live in. But now, others are also noticing all that BCS has to offer! Kiplinger Personal Finance magazine has recently published a list of “Ten Great Cities That Have It All” and Bryan-College Station has landed the number 3 spot on the list. According to Kiplinger, what makes these cities “great” is, “By our definition, good jobs, reasonably priced homes, decent schools, great health care and manageable size are all essential parts of the mix.” We fall third on the list behind only two cities, Little Rock, Arkansas and Burlington, Vermont. As a local, I love to see that others appreciate Bryan-College Station not only for the economy but for the hospitality and tradition as well, which are also referenced in the article. Of course Aggieland wouldn’t be Aggieland without Texas A&M and college sports! Whoop! The article briefly mentions projects coming to the area that we have blogged about before including recent and upcoming renovations and the addition of the biomedical corridor. Having lived, worked, gone to school, and raised my kids in Bryan-College Station for a total of 22 years; I have to agree that this city does in fact “have it all.”
