New Development in College Station: Tower Point
In the past, if you lived in South College Station, you found yourself driving 10-15 minutes to get to anything – grocery store, shopping center or restaurant. All of that is changing!
College Station is expanding… and fast!
Creeks and rivers limit the growth of East and West College Station, bringing more people to the south end of town. We’ve seen the development of new phases in neighborhoods like Creek Meadows, Castle Gate II, Indian Lakes & Pebble Creek.
As more people move south, businesses follow suite. The most recent development is The Tower Point shopping center located on 75 acres off Highway 6 and Williams D. Fitch Parkway. PetSmart, Gold’s Gym, Bahama Buck’s, Jimmy Changas, and Freddy’s have already reserved their lots in the development.

Jennifer Prochazka, the city’s economic development manager, says “the development in south College Station is really booming right now. That is where College Station is growing”. Even for the development off Wellborn road, Tower Point is still the closest shopping center.
