About Southwood Forest
The neighborhood is bordered by Deacon Drive, Rio Grande Boulevard, and Rock Prairie Road, presenting the residents major thoroughfares and short drives to the many benefits of south College Station. Texas A&M University being less than 4 miles away because of their access to Wellborn Road.
The homes in Southwood Forest include different architectural styles and larger lot sizes up to ¼-acre. Many of the homes in the subdivision run in size from 2,800 square feet to over 4,400 square feet and can be found in a wide variety of characters, ranging from traditional to colonial. The homes homes were primarily built in the 1980s and 1990s. With these larger home and lot sizes, the homes are usually comprised of 3-5 bedrooms and 2-5 bathrooms, and many of the homes also feature 1-2 half bathrooms.
Within close distance to Southwood Forest are two lovely and spacious parks, the Brian Bachmann Community Park and Brothers Pond Park.
