About North Forest
Nestled off North Forest Parkway, the location and wooded setting of North Forest has residents finding deer in their yard in both the early mornings and late afternoons. North Forest gives residents more space, but still has the advantages of living in College Station. In addition, Texas A&M Univeristy is just under 5 miles away.
The homes found here in North Forest are similar to those found in Emerald Forest, but typically have a more recent construction date. The home sizes typically run a little bit larger than many properties in College Station, which includes a wide array of lot sizes varying to over 6,400 square feet.
Nearby the neighborhood, or more just across Highway 6, is College Station’s only shopping mall, Post Oak Mall. Post Oak Mall features shopping staples such as Forever 21, H&M, and Dillard’s. In addition, two popular restaurants, Chuy’s and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhousem, are just outside the doors of the mall. Just around the corner from the subdivision is the Grand Station Entertainment, which is the largest entertainment venue in College Station with daily specials on bowling, arcade games, laser tag, and mini golf.
In addition to shopping, entertainment, and dining, North Forest is also across the street from the 50-acre Stephen C. Beachy Central Park, a spacious community park offering sports fields, nature trails, playground, pavilion complete with picnic tables and built-in barbecue pits, and two fishing ponds.
During the winter holidays, Central Park turns into a lighting extravaganza known as Christmas in the Park. Because of the proximity of North Forest to Emerald Forest, they also bask in access to their wonderful 5-acre neighborhood park bordered by Bee Creek. Emerald Forest Park is one of the most beautiful native plant sites in the area and features a basketball court, playground, picnic tables, and walking trails.
